How is this Program different from the SiriusXM trials provided as part of other OEM Certified Pre-Owned Programs?

The customer experience is similar to the Certified Pre-Owned program where a customer can drive off the lot with a working, active satellite radio and receive a complimentary SiriusXM 3-month trial. The only difference from a dealer's perspective is the provisioning of the Pre-Owned Dealer Demo Service and availability to all pre-owned vehicle brands. With Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, SiriusXM provisions radios for demo activation upon receipt of the certification record. With this Pre-Owned Program, SiriusXM will provision eligible radios for demo activation upon receipt of your inventory records. Demo Service can be activated 48 hours after the vehicle is placed in inventory.

Will all Pre-Owned vehicles be automatically placed on the 3-month trial?

Yes, your entire pre-owned inventory of factory-installed SiriusXM vehicles will be eligible for the Dealer Demo Service and Customer Trial. Pre-Owned vehicles will be activated on the 3-month trial as long as complete and accurate data is received. If you discover that erroneous information was delivered or experience any issues during the activation process, please notify SiriusXM Dealer Support immediately. SiriusXM will investigate and work with DMi to correct any issues.

How long are the Pre-Owned Dealer Demo and consumer trial periods?

The Dealer Demo Service and Customer Trial will each run for 3 months. SiriusXM reserves the right to change the time period at any time with reasonable notice.

How will SiriusXM know which vehicles and customers are eligible for this Program?

Once we receive your DMS information, we'll be able to identify the vehicles in your inventory that are factory-equipped with satellite radio. That data will be used to activate the Dealer Demo Service for your vehicle inventory, automatically start your customers' complimentary trials and to contact customers with programming and subscription options.

How do I know my customer information is safe and treated appropriately by SiriusXM?

SiriusXM will not sell or share your customers' data with anyone without your Dealership's express written consent other than Digital Motorworks or other SiriusXM contractors for the purposes of providing the Program to Dealers and the Trial Service to consumers. SiriusXM may contact your customers in the future with programming and subscription options.

When can I begin activating the Dealer Demo Service?

You can start activating the Dealer Demo Service when you receive your Welcome Kit. Kits usually take 2-3 weeks to arrive from the time you enroll.

How can I check on my activation status?

If you've enrolled and want to verify your Dealership activation status, please call our partners at Digital Motorworks at 512-493-0341 or via email at: siriusxm_support@digitalmotorworks.com.

Once I opt-in to the Program, when will my customers start automatically receiving their 3-month trial?

Once your dealership has been activated, it will take anywhere from 7-10 days before your customers are included in the automated process. Going forward, your customers will be automatically activated on the customer trial once a sold record is received. We recommend that you verify that the Dealer Demo Service is active prior to the vehicle sale, so the customer has their Sirius or XM audio package active from the time of delivery. An added benefit of opting in to this Program is that your prior customers, dating back to 30 days prior to enrollment may be eligible to receive the 3-month trial from SiriusXM. Notification of trial activation to these customers will arrive through the mail. The only customers not eligible will be those currently on a trial or a paid subscription.

How do I activate a radio's Demo Service?

The Dealer Demo Service can be activated online 48 hours after the vehicle is placed into inventory

Activate Online Via Your Smartphone or Computer

  • Park the vehicle outside with an unobstructed view of the sky and make sure the radio is turned on
  • Find your radio’s unique identifier
  • Enter the Radio ID/ESN online at: www.siriusxm.com/refresh to send an activation signal to the vehicle

You can also activate the Dealer Demo by calling our Dealer Support Team. Upon calling, an activation signal will be sent to the vehicle. It may take a few minutes before the activation signal is processed and sent to the radio.

  • Call 1-888-465-8528
  • Say "Send dealer demo signal" or Press 1
  • Speak or enter the 12-digit ESN
  • Once a signal is sent and success message is received, the system will ask if you'd like to send a signal to another radio
  • To send signal to another radio, say "yes" or press 1
  • Press 2 at any time to speak to a Dealer Support Agent

  • Say "Send dealer demo signal" or Press 1
  • Speak the 8-digit Radio ID
  • Once a signal is sent and success message is received, the system will ask if you'd like to send a signal to another radio

Will I be eligible for refreshes of the Dealer Demo Service?

Dealers will also be eligible for a limited number of extensions to the initial Dealer Demo Service once the initial 90 days expire. Extensions can be activated by calling Dealer Support.

What if I change my mind later and want to opt-out so that my customers no longer automatically receive a complimentary trial?

If you want to opt-out of the program, simply send a written request to Sirius XM Radio Inc., Attention: Automotive Remarketing, 27200 Haggerty Road Suite B-5, Farmington Hills, MI 48331 and request to be removed from the program. Upon receipt of this written request, it will take approximately 30 days for the opt-out to take effect.
